2018 TOUR ~ WE HAD FUN!
THANK YOU, NEW MILLS ART THEATRE
DOING IT LIVE
Celebrating 35 years on road and radio, twice nominated for the Sony Radio Award for ‘Best Use Of Comedy’, writer voicer producer Buzz Hawkins brings radio’s longest running favourite funny family ‘The Bradshaws’ to life on stage before your very eyes (with some help from little Billy Bradshaw).
Armed with the new comedy song album ‘Catchy Choruses & Daft Bits’, the funniest nostalgia you’ll ever see, and with thirty-five years of comedy writing to go at, you can expect an unforgettable rib-cracking night out.
‘Amazing!’ Peter Kay
‘A national treasure’ John Henshaw
‘Magic’ Bernard Wrigley
‘Set to rule the world’ Eamonn o’Neal
If you manage to get tickets for one of his famous live events then the following advice is offered: Unbutton your cardigans before it starts!
It will be a rib-cracking night out with the Bradshaws, almost held together by Buzz Hawkins, singer-songwriter, story-teller fellah, funnyman, award-winning writer, producer and voices of the wickedly funny radio favourites the Bradshaws ... and general all-round smart arse.
This unique and healthy experience (laughter is good for you!) with Buzz Hawkins could cause face-ache, wheezing, loss of breath, loss of dentures, sore ribs and temporary incontinence due to the unavoidable amount of laughing you have to do. Beware and be ready for a night out you'll never forget.
Having written radio comedy for twenty-odd years, Hawkins' material is wide and seemingly endless. Some would believe, though, that it's all nostalgia based and therefore not for younger audiences. Wrong!
Yes, it's nostalgic with the Bradshaws and seeing life through their eyes, but it's right on the button with clever comedy songs such as Eee Well Y'ave To Laugh Ant Yer? (all one word, by the way), Father Fanakerpan's Secret, Country Billy Gerkin and The Pickle Stabbers, Raji Sing Song, Poor Old Norman, Tongue Twisting (beware of this one!) and the exquisite Sadie
And when Hawkins asks "It's catchy, intit?", you'll be lying if you say no.
His observation is up there with Billy Connolly, Frank Skinner, Clive James, Arthur Smith, Victoria Wood and Peter Kay (Peter's mam has all the tapes) and yet his take on it is totally unique. We defy you to put Hawkins in a bag! (please?!)
So, are the Bradshaws a figment of his imagination or is he a figment of theirs?

WHO'S A BUSY B THEN? ...
Buzz is currently working on the first Bradshaws novel and a new series of Bradshaws videos (in the same style as the original Granada TV series), plus a non-Bradshaws novel and .. phew!
But, as he misses you all so much, he's still comes out to play with Billy and his mam and dad (plus his guitar, of course) in venues not far from you. If you can't get there, you can always invite him to perform in your local hall or club (honest!)
